A deep dive into Self with the help of Ayahuasca
Monday Feb 10, 2020
Monday Feb 10, 2020
In today's episode we travel down to Costa Rica to feature a round table discussion on our first ayahuasca ceremony. My co-hosts this week are some of the founding members of The Special Forces Experience. This is the first of three discussions that will air. While we break down some of the misconceptions we had about working with the medicine, there is also a lot to be gained outside of the ceremony.
We also cover,
- The importance of environment.
- The importance of delineating between intention and expectation.
- Our biological drives that we use to expel disease and how our culture doesn’t necessary foster those drives.
- Having faith that hard things are good for you.

The Joker
Friday Feb 07, 2020
Friday Feb 07, 2020
Today I break down an archetype that’s found its way into our world lately. The joker, seemingly everyone’s favorite character from the Batman series. If you’ve seen the newest rendition with Joaquin Phoenix, you get a dark look at the formation of the character. You see how life sort of pushed him into his role as he contended with hardship and rejection. Today's show is about the warning and message buried in the Joker archetype.

Approaching Stress Management with your Physiology First
Wednesday Feb 05, 2020
Wednesday Feb 05, 2020
In today’s show I interview Dave Bidler, the founder of the organization Physiology first. In this episode we talk about the interplay of physiology and psychology. I think this is actually one of the most important conversations that I’ve had on air. This will certainly be a relevant conversation if you have children, but also, if you’re someone that deeply cares about the future of our species, the issues that physiology first is looking to provide solutions for are some of the most important facing us in the world today. If we are unable to manage stress it is unlikely that we’ll be able to manage anything else in our lives.
We also talk about survival skills for coping with the 21st century, budding technology and at the end of the show Dave dishes out some incredible insight and advice around gaining control of the stress in your life.

Why it’s alright when things aren’t ok.
Monday Jan 27, 2020
Monday Jan 27, 2020
Advice I’ve began to hear more and more around the personal development space is that it’s alright for things not to be ok. That it is alright to acknowledge when things aren’t going well or even how you want them to be. Today's show is about the importance of this advice. Because what this does is give you a doorway into a new way of being. In our culture many of us are taught that we have to fix things when they are wrong, in fact depending on the subject, it’s almost blasphemous to simply allow things to be wrong. It’s certainly uncomfortable for many of us. What this acknowledgement does is create a culture of people that have have an incredibly hard time sitting in other people’s discomfort.

Selfish
Friday Jan 24, 2020
Friday Jan 24, 2020
If we don't learn to prioritize ourselves, we aren't able to serve anyone else either. We must spend some time being selfish before we can learn to be good for someone else. We don't serve the world by not knowing what we want and by being unsatisfied with what we get. Today's show is to highlight the need for self awareness.
